On to 42nd Street

Marching on to 42nd street on a drumbeat, I came away with a few items to spring update my wardrobe (yes, I've been shopping again after a 2-month hiatus), an allergy friendly perfume that was given after a hearty lunch buffet at the Universal Hilton, trendy sunglasses to replace my favorite pair that was given away to a dear friend, 2 pairs of well-fitting, hand-me-down work shoes and my new gym-mate, a music-to-go pink mini Ipod and ITunes download certificate. Priceless are funny and sentimental e-cards, a cute ceramic candle holder and accessories, email, text and phone call greetings, surprise balloons and flowers, accolades at work with accompanying retro raise. I am truly thankful and continue to count my blessings that my birthday basket has always been bountiful.

The past year was perhaps just a one-time occurrence in my life for I had not imagined in my wildest dreams of having a blast reuniting with college and high school batchmates in the same year.

Walking on to 42nd street and beyond is much more fun when family and friends are around to laugh and cry with, hold hands and feel safe, lift me up should I stumble and provide directions should I lose my way. Click on this for pictures.
